Whisky investment, done properly. Rare bottles and finite casks held in your name, whether in UK bond or maturing on site at the Japanese distilleries that made them. Fully insured, fully managed, exited on your terms.
Yamazaki, Japan's first malt whisky distillery, is the name that put Japanese whisky on the world stage, and the Rare Whisky 101 Yamazaki Index tracks 30 of its most collectable bottles. In January 2016, the index stood at around 140. By its peak in late 2022, it had climbed past 1,290, more than nine times where it started.
Like every real market, it then corrected. Today it sits at around 660, still more than four and a half times its January 2016 level, and it has held broadly steady over the past six months.
The investors who do well in whisky are not the ones who chase the peak. They buy quality, hold through the cycles and let scarcity do its work.
This is the market we work in.

Stocks are correlated. Property is slow and taxed hard. Crypto is a rollercoaster. Whisky quietly does what alternative assets are supposed to do.
Some whisky can no longer be made. Some is made in quantities that can never meet demand. And some of the finest cask opportunities remain difficult to access.
Whisky develops over time, shaped by the cask, the distillery and the years spent maturing. As stocks of older expressions become more limited, provenance, age and collector demand can all influence value.
Bottles are held in an HMRC-approved bonded warehouse, with insurance in place, full ownership and title documented in your name. For Japanese casks, your agreement is directly with the distillery, which stores and insures the cask on your behalf. Documentary evidence of ownership is provided, giving you verifiable title to the cask and its contents.
Whisky in bond pays no VAT, no alcohol duty. HMRC generally treats whisky as a wasting asset, meaning most capital gains fall outside Capital Gains Tax. Few assets are this efficient.
Whisky has historically moved independently of equities and property. When traditional portfolios wobble, rare whisky is a different conversation entirely.
We actively manage your portfolio, opportunities to buy, times to sell and general market updates.

Our Heritage
On 17 August 2018, one of them sold at Bonhams Hong Kong for £269,230.
Not a fund. Not a share. One bottle, one of only 50 ever released, from Japan's most famous whisky name. Every bottle opened since has left fewer in the world, and every year what remains has become harder to find.
That is the market we source from.

We focus on the two whisky categories that produce the strongest investment returns, with the deepest provenance and the clearest exit routes.
The category every collector wants. Few can access.
Direct access to Japan's most sought after producers, including allocation only craft distilleries almost no UK firm can reach. Our Japanese programme features Shindo, Nozawa Onsen, Maoi, Hanyu, Water Dragon and Niigata Kameda, alongside flagship names like Yamazaki, Hakushu and Hibiki.
From Islay powerhouses to revived legends. Names most private investors never see.
Our Scotch programme covers all six Scottish regions and over 25 flagship and allocation only distilleries. The Macallan. Lagavulin. Ardbeg. Springbank. Plus revived ghost distilleries like Brora, Port Ellen and Rosebank, where every remaining bottle gets rarer by the day.
Whisky investment should be simple for you and complex for us. That is the deal.
Your UK portfolio manager, one dedicated contact, understands your goals and timeline. No pressure. No obligation.

The Cult & Boutique Difference
Six reasons serious whisky investors come to us, from the first bottle to the final sale.

Some of the most sought-after whisky never reaches an auction room or a shop shelf. It moves quietly through distillery contacts, trade partners and independent bottlers, and we open those doors on your behalf.

Japanese whisky is the category investors ask us about most, and the hardest to buy well. Our programme spans Yamazaki, Hakushu and Hibiki, the last bottlings from ghost distilleries like Hanyu and Karuizawa, and a new generation of craft producers most UK buyers have never heard of.
You do not need a six-figure sum to build a meaningful position. Entry typically starts from £5,000 to £10,000, enough to spread across distilleries, ages and countries from day one.
Casks let age do the work. Rare bottles let scarcity do it. Your portfolio manager helps you balance the two around your goals and timeline.
Looking for a specific distillery, vintage or retired release? We search our network and bring you a verified shortlist. Starting the search costs nothing, and you pay nothing unless you go ahead.
Private sale, trade sale, auction or independent bottling. With clients in 30 countries, there is genuine demand waiting when you decide to sell.
The three questions every serious investor asks before writing a cheque.

Yes. Your purchase is held in your name and confirmed by a Delivery Order. Legal ownership stays with you throughout the investment term.
Four routes: private sale through our client network, trade sale to independent bottlers, auction through established houses, or independent bottling under your own label. Your portfolio manager advises on the best route when the time comes.

Before any whisky reaches your portfolio, we check independent market data, recent auction results and valuations against your goals, ensuring decisions are built on data, not hype. Your portfolio manager works at your pace, keeping you informed at every stage.
