Helping Investors Build Long-Term Value

Pol Roger

Pol Roger combines a traditional family-owned Champagne house with a prestige cuvée whose scarcity is deliberately controlled. Pol Roger made his first wine sale in Aÿ in January 1849 at the age of eighteen, and the family moved the business to Épernay in 1851, where it grew rapidly and increasingly specialised in the drier Champagne style preferred by the British market.

Vineyards

Pol Roger owns a substantial vineyard estate and supplements it with long-standing grower relationships. Its sources span the principal Champagne sectors, including the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, giving the cellar team the breadth needed for both house blends and vintage wines.

Development

A major cellar collapse in 1900 destroyed around 1.5 million bottles, but the family rebuilt with support from neighbouring houses. The twentieth century strengthened the house's British connections, culminating in the creation of Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill in honour of its most famous customer.
