Helping Investors Build Long-Term Value

Louis Roederer

Louis Roederer's investment market is driven principally by Cristal, created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia. The Champagne house was founded in 1776 and took the Louis Roederer name when Louis inherited the business in 1833, unusually choosing to purchase vineyards rather than relying primarily on growers, starting with vines in Verzenay in 1841. The company has remained independent and family-owned ever since, now led by Frédéric Rouzaud.

Vineyards

Roederer owns about 250 hectares divided into roughly 420 plots across the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. The estate has progressively expanded organic and biodynamic farming, and its high proportion of owned fruit is a defining feature of the house.
