Home / Investment / Hundred Acre
Hundred Acre is a tightly allocated Napa Cabernet producer whose value is distributed across several named vineyards rather than one estate bottling. Jayson Woodbridge moved to Napa in 1999 and established Hundred Acre around the 2000 purchase of the Kayli Morgan Vineyard, with consultant Philippe Melka helping make the inaugural 2000 Cabernet before Woodbridge increasingly assumed full control of the winemaking.

The core wines come from small estate Cabernet vineyards in Napa Valley. Morgan's Way, formerly Kayli Morgan, lies near St Helena; Ark sits below Glass Mountain on complex volcanic soils; Few and Far Between is in Calistoga beside Eisele Vineyard. The sites are farmed intensively with very low yields.

Woodbridge later developed Ark and acquired the property that became Few and Far Between, creating a portfolio of vineyard-specific Cabernets. The estate built its reputation through small allocations, extended élevage and a series of experimental bottlings such as Wraith and Deep Time.
