Helping Investors Build Long-Term Value

Dom Pérignon

Dom Pérignon is one of the deepest prestige-Champagne markets because the brand combines large international recognition with strict vintage-only production. The first vintage was 1921, though it wasn't commercially released until 1936, created within Moët & Chandon and named after the Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Pérignon. Standard vintage, Rosé and later Plénitude releases create a maturity ladder that gives collectors several ways to access the same house.

Vineyards

Dom Pérignon is not a single-estate wine. Its blends are assembled from a broad selection of top Champagne vineyards, generally with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir drawn from Grand Cru and leading Premier Cru sites. The objective is consistency of the Dom Pérignon style while allowing each declared vintage to remain distinct.

First vintage :

1921

The first Dom Pérignon vintage was 1921, though it was not commercially released until 1936. The cuvée was created within Moët & Chandon and named after the Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Pérignon, whose work at Hautvillers became part of Champagne's foundational mythology.

Development

Over time the brand developed a strict vintage-only identity and later introduced Rosé and Plénitude releases, which revisit selected vintages after longer ageing on lees. That extended release cycle has helped make mature Dom Pérignon a distinct collector category rather than simply an older version of the original release.
