SIGNATURE VINTAGES

Key Vintages in the R.D.

1988 Classic late-disgorged Bollinger with the structure and acidity to age exceptionally.

1996 One of Champagne’s defining high-acid vintages and particularly suited to R.D.’s extended lees ageing.

2002 A complete, generous vintage with strong long-term collector demand.

2008 A modern benchmark, combining exceptional tension, longevity and a highly regarded base wine.

The Investment Case

What Drives the Price of R.D.

R.D. gains value from the combination of vintage Champagne, extended lees ageing and late disgorgement. By the time it reaches the market, Bollinger has already absorbed many years of storage, while each bottle carries a disgorgement date that adds another point of distinction for collectors. As older releases are consumed, well-stored examples with clear provenance become progressively more difficult to replace.
