Helping Investors Build Long-Term Value

Henschke

Henschke's collector market is anchored by two historic single vineyards: Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone. The Henschke family began making wine in the Eden Valley in the nineteenth century, with the first recorded sale in 1868. Founder Johann Christian Henschke had emigrated from Silesia and established the family property near Keyneton. Six generations have continued the business ever since.

Vineyards

Henschke farms vineyards across Eden Valley, Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills. Hill of Grace in Keyneton contains some Shiraz vines planted in the 1860s, while Mount Edelstone is another celebrated old-vine site. The family's emphasis on single-vineyard identity gives these parcels unusual importance within Australian fine wine.

Development

Six generations have continued the business, gradually shifting its focus from mixed farming and fortified styles toward table wines built around historic vineyards. Cyril Henschke and later Stephen and Prue Henschke helped elevate Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone into internationally recognised Australian icons.
