Home / Investment / Domaine Leroy
Domaine Leroy's market is defined by extreme scarcity, parcel specificity and the reputation of Lalou Bize-Leroy. The Leroy family wine business began with Maison Leroy, founded in 1868, and Henri Leroy later acquired a major interest in Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in 1942. Lalou Bize-Leroy created the modern Domaine Leroy in 1988, rapidly adopting biodynamic viticulture and building an estate whose tiny production redefined Burgundy scarcity.

Domaine Leroy owns a mosaic of tiny holdings across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, including parcels in Musigny, Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Chambertin and other Grand and Premier Crus. The vineyards have been farmed biodynamically since the late 1980s, with low yields and intensive manual work.

Lalou Bize-Leroy created the modern Domaine Leroy in 1988 after purchasing important vineyard holdings, notably from Domaine Charles Noëllat. She rapidly adopted biodynamic viticulture and built an estate whose tiny production and uncompromising vineyard work transformed the market perception of Burgundy scarcity.
